Copeland ZR Series in Saudi-Arabien: 60Hz Models & Voltage Codes Explained

Why Voltage Codes Make or Break Saudi Projects

Saudi Arabia operates on a strict 380V/60Hz power grid. Installing a compressor engineered for 50Hz on a 60Hz grid is a costly engineering mistake—the motor will spin faster, draw excessive current, and eventually overheat. For EPC contractors and facility managers handling Middle East projects, specifying the correct voltage code is just as critical as selecting the right cooling capacity.

Our engineering team frequently receives inquiries for heavy-duty models like the ZR61KCE TFD 522, ZR125KCE TF5 522, and ZR190KCE TFD 522. These alphanumeric suffixes are not random; they dictate the exact electrical and internal configurations required for safe operation.

Decoding Copeland ZR Voltage Codes

Before finalizing your BOM list, verify the motor code against the site’s power supply:

For standard Saudi industrial projects, TW7 is the optimal code for 380V/60Hz compliance, though TFD can sometimes be adapted depending on transformer setups.

How to read a Copeland compressor model number. Always verify the motor code (z.B., TFD, TW7) matches your 60Hz power grid.

T-Class High-Ambient Performance (T3 Climates)

Summer ambient temperatures in Riyadh or Jeddah easily exceed 50°C. Standard compressors often trip on high discharge temperatures under such thermal loads. For these environments, we strongly recommend T-Class (T3) variants. These units tolerate maximum condensing temperatures up to 65°C and feature robust internal protection.

Confirm Your Configuration Today

Avoid costly on-site electrical mismatches. Send our Shanghai engineering team a photo of your existing compressor nameplate or your project’s cooling capacity requirements. We supply genuine Copeland ZR series compressors with the correct 60Hz voltage codes for the Saudi market.
